September 2018 Reports and October Preliminary Data

New titles for September moved down -23.5% from August and were down -5% from September of last year. Both single-section and multi-section home titles were down.

Midland remained the top county for new home installations keeping pace with its strong August numbers, and it was followed by Ector County as housing activity in the Permian remained strong through the month. WTI hit a high of $76.41 price at the beginning of October and then fell throughout October and November so we’ll be watching to see how the MH markets reacts to the decline.

Harris and Montgomery had month-over-month declines in line with the state’s but still landed in the top five. Bexar County posted 20% gains and took the fifth spot.

Used titles were down -14.3% from August, but unlike new titles were up 47.9% over September of 2017.
