New titles for July moved down -2.95% from June, but came in 8.86% over July of 2015. Other than the slight dip in May, multi-sections continue to keep pace with single-section home sales as they’ve done since March.
Used titles were down from the previous month and way down from July of 2015, but there was a large community acquisition that caused a spike that month one year ago.
Looking at the August titles processed so far, new homes are tracking roughly flat month-over-month and well above August of 2015.
A quick note about this report, I’ve made a few changes below that I would like to call out:
- The shipment statistics were released earlier in the August Shipment Report
- The list of top five counties for new home installations is now included
- Totals have been added for new and used homes for the officially closed month as well as the preliminary month
- Month-over-Month statistics are now included in the preliminary month data
