Political Action Committees

What are they?  What do you think of when you hear “PAC?”  What do you think of when you hear “TMHA PAC?” (please don’t say “golf tournament,” and if you think this initially please keep reading).

PACs are simply a collection of like minded individuals and associations who want to be involved in the political process.  Similar to going to the ballots on election day and voting for the candidates you believe best serve your interests, PACs are based in the same idea, but again, on a larger scale.  PAC’s operate to help advance the campaigns of the specific candidates a particular PAC agrees with and supports.

Regardless of one’s political persuasions or where you fall on the partisan spectrum, everyone will agree the people who get elected and run the government matter.  The right person in the right job on the right issue means all the difference in the world.

In the world of a specific industry such as ours, the right or wrong elected official can truly mean the difference between a thriving industry or a dead one.
