May 2017 Reports and June Preliminary Data

New titles for single and multi-section homes in the month of May were up over April by 13.9% and 8.5%. The total of 517 new single-section homes was also up over May of 2016 by 4.7%, and the 486 new multi-sections beat 2016 by 12%.

Liberty County landed in the top spot for new installations with 41 new homes, up 24.2% over last month. The rest of the top five should look familiar, but in a different order from last month. Liberty posted a 37.5% month-over-month gain last month, so that’s two months in a row of big gains.

The state as a whole is now tracking 5.1% over 2016 through the first five months of the year. New single-section homes at 12.2% over 2016 are fueling the growth while new multi-section titles are down -2.5%.

There continues to be an increase year-over-year on cash and real property sales. New cash sales were up 21% over 2016 and new real property deals were up 16.3%.

June shipments moved sideways from May and so far new titles for the month are tracking up 3.7% over May and down -3.6% over June of 2016.
